Amal, a passionate French teacher at a high school in Brussels, is determined to inspire her students. She strives to immerse them in literature, encourage them to speak up, and teach them to accept one another. However, her approach doesn't sit well with everyone. Some students and colleagues with ties to Islamic extremism see her as a threat and fiercely oppose her ideas.

Despite this, Amal refuses to be intimidated, especially when it comes to supporting Monia, a shy student suspected of being homosexual. Monia faces threats, bullying, and even physical attacks. Amal takes it upon herself to protect her, even if it means putting herself in danger.
