Description
Agnes, an Indonesian trans woman, has built a new life for herself in the Netherlands. She spends her days playing badminton with her queer friends and running a small Indonesian restaurant from her home with her best friend, Rini. However, her peaceful existence is abruptly disrupted when her younger brother, Indra, unexpectedly arrives from Timor, searching for his older brother, Hans.
Agnes faces a heart-wrenching decision: should she continue living in secrecy, or reveal who she truly is? While the truth could offer a chance for reconciliation with her brother, sharing it proves to be far more challenging than she anticipated.
This remarkable docufiction, inspired by Agnes’ own life, explores themes of identity, family bonds, and the journey toward self-acceptance.
